This weekend, Fayette County Public Schools located in Lexington, KY held the 33rd Annual District Science Fair. There were over 600 projects represented by various students (grades 4-12) showcasing what they can do with science. A very small sample size where the six students that went to the science fair from my classroom. Of those six, four won 1st or 2nd in their respective category with one of them taking 1st overall in the 8th grade. I mention this because they all worked collaboratively with a scientist. These collaborations helped inspire them, push them, interest them and help them get to this point. The point that they are now moving on with their projects. Over the last two years, this collaboration has helped the projects rise to a new level that is awesome to watch. I will try to get put a quick synopsis of their projects just so you can see what I am trying to describe. Lastly, I can't thank the mentors enough for all their help, time and inspiration. Thank you.
There will be a variety of authors, from the scientists to the students to the teachers writing about their various experiences. Thank you for reading.
